Plates of National Archives of Canada
10 Oct. 2003
Mike was able to make a brief trial of his new traveling daguerreian outfit during a visit to Quebec, where he daguerreotyped the Gatineau Preservation Centre. The center was designed by architect Ron Keenberg and consists of an inner concrete core sheathed in an exterior of glass and stainless steel. It contains 48 separate climactically controlled preservation vaults. Images are half-plate daguerreotypes - click for a closer view.
